Quality Load Restraint Parts – Ratchet Straps & More

Reliable load restraint equipment is a must for safe transport across trucks, trailers, utes, 4WDs and commercial fleets. At Tranzmile, we stock quality ratchet straps, including retractable ratchet straps and ratchet tie down straps, in addition to chain ratchet dogs, slide and weld on ratchet winches and related load restraint parts designed to help keep freight secure on the road.

Tranzmile stocks the full range of load restraint products across both traditional webbed load restraint products and chain load restraint as well. Our webbed range included the most common 50mm x 9m ratchet strap used most commonly for transport and farm purposes with up to 2.5 tonne capacity, as well as all the smaller range most suitable for smaller box trailers and home use. As well as ratchet straps, we stock slide and weld on ratchet winches to be fitted to trailers – which may come bare (without a strap) or with a strap and stock the ratchet replacement straps as well. For applications requiring chain, we stock a full range of chain related load restraint. This extends from transport chain approved for use in Australia including 6mm transport chain, 8mm transport chain, 10mm transport chain and 13mm transport chain. As well as transport chain, we stock a range of ratchet chain binders including the traditional loadbinder, the ratchet loadbinder and the new maxibinder options. All our transport chain comes fitted with grab hookes, but we do stock these seperately as well.

An anchor chain grab hook is used to connect, shorten or secure transport chain during load restraint. Grab hook components must be matched to the correct chain size and rating to ensure safe operation. Our parts interpreters can help you choose the most suitable components for your setup.

When do I need to replace my ratchet strap?

If a ratchet strap is showing any signs of disrepair it must be replaced. Common issues are tearing or small cuts in the side of the webbing which can quickly tear, causing the load restraint to fail. Daily inspections of all ratchet straps is a must to check for any damage to the strap, the ratchet or the grab hoos.
