The Gates Hose Clamp - S/S 32-51MM is a Green Stripe silicone hose clamp for securing coolant and other soft-cover hoses on heavy duty trucks, buses and vehicular equipment. The clamp is size 24, covering a clamping range from 1-1/4 inch to 2 inch, making it suitable for a wide range of radiator and heater hose diameters. It uses a 9/16 inch (14 mm) wide band to increase contact area on the hose and improve compression. The band, screw and housing are manufactured from 300 series stainless steel to resist corrosion in demanding under-bonnet environments. A four-piece construction with 100 percent mechanical interlock and an inner-liner band prevents hose cover extrusion and provides a smooth surface against the hose. The clamp is tightened via a 5/16 inch hexagon deep-slot screw head using a screwdriver, nut driver or socket wrench, with a recommended torque of 30�40 in/lb and a 60 in/lb maximum. This construction supports reliable sealing performance in fleet cooling system service.
