The Knorr Bremse Steering Angle Sensor K151568 is a steer angle sensor used in heavy-duty commercial vehicle steering and stability control systems. It measures steering column position on a shaft diameter of approximately 24.90 mm and communicates angle data over the vehicle CAN bus at 250 Kilobaud. Operating on an 816 VDC supply with 24 V overvoltage tolerance, it draws a maximum of 150 mA, making it suitable for modern truck and bus electrical systems. The unit uses a Bosch 7-pin male connector with a 90 orientation and carries an IP50 ingress protection rating, providing dust protection in cab-mounted locations. It is specified to work reliably from -40 F to 185 F (-40 C to 85 C), covering a wide range of Australian operating conditions. Supplied as an aftermarket new component, this sensor supports Bendix electronic stability and collision avoidance systems where accurate steering angle feedback to the ECU is required.
