The bonding layer within the heatshrink terminals adheres firmly to both the conductor and cable insulation. Combining crimping, heatshrink and adhesive creates a level of strain relief beyond what is possible with standard terminal types, the shrink/adhesive combination produces a seal that prevents water and dust getting into the back of the terminal.
