The Castrol CAS3430285 TRANSMAX Dynadrive Long Life 80W-90 20L is a part-synthetic SAE 80W-90 gear oil specifically developed to meet the requirements of both manual transmissions and final drives in a single product. Its unique additive system provides the extreme pressure protection needed in heavy-duty differentials as well as the frictional properties required for smooth shifting synchromesh manual transmissions, making it suitable for highly loaded final drives and differentials in trucks, buses, vans, and 4WDs, as well as synchronised manual transmissions requiring API GL-4 or GL-5. Endorsed by Meritor Australia for use in Meritor (Rockwell) axles, it has demonstrated excellent performance in Australian field trials as a replacement for conventional 85W-140 EP gear oils, reducing operating temperatures and extending oil and component life under severe conditions. By consolidating manual and final drive lubrication into one product, it rationalises workshop stockholding and helps prevent service filling errors.
