The Ancra Gate Carrier Winch (bare) is the unstrapped version of Ancra's compact slide-on gate carrier winch, designed to mount under a trailer body and hold the rear tailgate firmly in place during transit. It is supplied without a strap so users can pair it with whatever strap length suits their trailer configuration, or use it as a like-for-like replacement winch on existing assemblies. An unsecured tailgate that swings open mid-trip is a serious risk to cargo and following road users — the gate carrier winch keeps it locked against the frame so that does not happen. Manufactured from high-quality steel and rated to a 3,000kg lashing capacity, with compliance to AS/NZS 4380-2001 and AS/NZS 4344-2001.
