The Bendix Genuine E-3 Brake Valve Basic 277863X is a single circuit foot brake valve used to control service brakes in heavy vehicles with air brake systems. The valve is floor mounted and operated by a treadle or pedal assembly, reacting to the driver�s foot pressure to modulate compressed air to the brake chambers. It features four 1/2" NPT delivery ports and dual 1/2" NPT supply ports, with additional 1/4" NPT auxiliary supply ports to suit common single-circuit layouts. The unit uses an external exhaust with dust shield and a rubber graduation spring style to provide a softer pedal feel than older foot valve designs. This valve cross references to Bendix 277863 and 277863N, Haldex KN22100 series and multiple OEM numbers, making it suitable as a service replacement across a wide range of trucks and heavy equipment. The E-3 brake valve is commonly paired with a separate treadle and mounting plate assembly.
