The Gates Hose Clamp - S/S 40-63MM is a Green Stripe silicone hose clamp engineered for heavy-duty cooling and heater hose assemblies. The clamp corresponds to SAE size 32 and provides a clamping range from 1.5625 to 2.5 inches, suiting hose inside diameters from 1.5 to 2 inches. It uses a 300 series stainless steel band, screw and housing to resist corrosion in demanding truck, bus and industrial environments. The 9/16 inch (14 mm) wide band and inner-liner construction help prevent hose cover extrusion and distribute clamping force evenly around soft silicone hose. A four-piece, 100% mechanical interlock design adds strength, while the 5/16 inch deep-slot hex-head screw can be tightened with a screwdriver, nut driver or socket. With a recommended torque of 30�40 in-lb and a 60 in-lb maximum, this clamp is suited to maintaining secure coolant and heater hose connections as part of routine heavy-duty vehicle maintenance.
