The JB Weld Leatherweld Leather Repair Kit is a vinyl and leather repair system for restoring minor damage on automotive and household surfaces. The kit uses a no-heat-to-cure adhesive paste, removing the need for conventional heating irons or heat tools when fixing torn or cracked vinyl or leather. It is suited to cracks and minor tears less than 2 inches long or 1/2 inch wide on car seats, dashboards, marine upholstery, office furniture, leather clothing and accessories. The kit contains 3 oz (approximately 85 g) of leather repair paste, seven air-dry repair colour compounds, a grain-paper packet, backing fabric, practice vinyl, a mixing bottle and a spatula. These components allow colour mixing to match the repair area and use of grain paper to help replicate surface texture. The Leatherweld kit is supplied as a liquid adhesive mixture and is used by applying backing fabric, mixing the required colour, spreading the paste into the damaged area and allowing it to air dry in line with the included instructions.
