The JB Weld Tankweld Repair Kit is a fuel and metal tank repair kit used to restore leaking metal fuel tanks and storage containers. The kit is petroleum and fuel resistant and is specified for cracks up to 4 inches long and holes up to 1/4 to 3/8 inch in diameter. It is supplied as a complete repair package containing epoxy putty, a 28 g epoxy adhesive component, fibreglass reinforcing cloth, sandpaper and an applicator, along with clear instructions. Once cured, the steel-reinforced epoxy can be sanded and drilled, allowing finishing work or refitting of components on metal gas tanks, metal tanks and oil pans. The repair system stops leaks without welding and is suited to automotive and general metal tank maintenance where metal construction is confirmed. The product is not recommended for plastic repairs or for use on polyethylene or polypropylene parts, keeping its use focused on metal substrates in workshop and on-road applications.
