The OE Spares OE101197 Relay Emergency Valve - RE6 Style is a RE-6 Style emergency relay valve for use in truck and trailer air brake systems. Relay valves use a small pilot signal from the foot valve or control valve to rapidly deliver large volumes of air to the brake chambers, reducing brake lag on long wheelbase vehicles and trailers. This emergency relay valve variant also provides the failsafe function of applying the trailer brakes if the connection to the towing vehicle is lost.
