The Bendix Spring Brake Valve R-7 is a 95 psi spring brake modulating valve used in heavy-duty dual circuit air brake systems to control rear axle spring brakes. This R-7 style valve sits between the service reservoir and the rear spring brakes, modulating air pressure to release or apply the spring brakes and preventing service and spring forces from compounding. It features a solid metal, die-cast style body with NPT threaded ports, including a 3/8-18 NPT supply port, two 3/8-18 NPT delivery ports, and 1/4-18 NPT control and balance ports. The valve mounts via two 0.41 inch holes and incorporates an exhaust port with a dust shield, with the exhaust oriented facing up. Spring brake hold-off pressure is set at 95 psi, and the unit operates reliably in temperatures from -40 �F to 200 �F. Commonly fitted to tractors and trailers, it supports safe spring brake release and emergency/parking brake application in demanding transport applications.
