The Stemco Vent Plug 3/4 Hub Cap Sma is a small rubber mini-vent plug used in heavy-duty wheel-end applications to both vent and seal hub caps. The plug fits hub cap vent holes with a 0.75 inch diameter and has a compact height of around 0.30 inch, keeping it low profile on the hub face. Manufactured from rubber, it provides flexible sealing against vibration and movement, while an additional sealant coating is applied to increase the sealing effect and help prevent leakage. The plug is coloured red for easy visual identification during inspections and servicing. It is engineered to meet or exceed OEM specifications in function, form and fit, and is cross-referenced by multiple truck and trailer manufacturers and aftermarket suppliers. In service, the plug helps seal out contaminants such as dirt, water and oil from the wheel assembly while allowing controlled venting of pressure within the hub cap on trucks, trailers, buses and other heavy-duty equipment.
